HOW TO MANAGE YOUR EXAM STUDENTS FOR THE NATIONAL MATHEMATICS COMPETITION
From all indications and findings the best candidate for the secondary category is the waec students because the questions are coming from the school curriculum.
The examination is just one day and one hour so it will not give them stress at all. Secondly they need to get or are already used to external exams so there is no fear of mixing up with other candidates in an external environment since some of the students have already written jamb.
The following tips are needful to manage your waec candidates selected to write National exams effectively:
1. Don't be too harsh with them but professionally instill discipline.
2. Create an hour after school lesson for them basically to refresh their memory on the topics sent to you from their various areas of concentration.
3. Give them take Home Assignments to occupy then at home.
4. Advise them to limit their time spent on mobile phone and other electronic gadgets, also advise them to limit or stop visiting social media platforms. You can achieve this by involving their parents or guardian go with lay hands on this gadgets and hold them for sometimes probably after their exams it will be given back to them.
5. Encourage them to submit the Assignment given to them to their mass teacher and encourage the mass teacher to Mark and show them their scores. Maths Teachers should also do revision with them.
